• Energy-efficient design, lighting, heating and cooling systems, and Energy Star® appliances
• Recyclable building materials, energy-friendly green siding, thermal pane windows and doors
• Low emission finishes; paints and varnish with low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds)
• Water-efficient toilets and shower heads
• Native drought-tolerant landscaping
• Recycled blown-in insulation and foam insulation

Through incorporating these green elements into our building practices, we seek to not only create sustainable lives financially for our Habitat families, but also in terms of creating a sustainable life for our environment, doing our part in creating a healthy home for all of us for years to come.
