Under the direction of Nick and Terry Saban, Nick's Kids Fund has partnered with Habitat for Humanity to build thirteen new homes for tornado victims this year—one for every national championship at University of Alabama.
The university has provided Habitat with far too many resources to put in one list. One of their recent valuable contributions to our work is sending us students for internships and helping us develop strong relationships with the greek community.
Tuscaloosa native and New York Yankees pitcher David Robertson and wife Erin have created a fund for organizations helping victims of the April tornadoes. For every strikeout David records during the 2011 season, $100 will be donated into the fund.
Tree House Farm & Nursey is providing landscape design and one large tree for every newly-constructed and "A Brush With Kindness" home this year, as well as additional shrubbery. To purchase a 3-gallon Habitat shrub (delivered and planted by Tree House), visit their website!
